2021 Call For Nominations
NOMINATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
We are issuing a call for nominations in accordance with the CIM Board Nominations Procedures Bulletin (the “Procedure”) prior to the 2021 Annual General Meeting of the members pursuant to Section 132(2) of the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act to elect six (6) directors for the following term lengths:
- 3-year term (to AGM 2024)
- 3-year term (to AGM 2024)
- 3-year term (to AGM 2024)
- 2-year term (to AGM 2023)
- 2-year term (to AGM 2023)
- 1-year term (to AGM 2022)
Individuals who are interested in serving as a director on the CIM National Board are invited to submit their candidacy Head Office at membership@cim.ca by 2 PM ET on October 29, 2021, being thirty (30) days prior to the date of the annual general meeting of members to be held on November 27, 2021.
- Nominations must be received by the Chair of the Nominations Committee thirty (30) days prior to the Annual General Meeting or Meeting of Members.
- All nominees are required to provide an up to date résumé/CV, the nomination form/skills matrix and supporting documents.
- Must be a Professional Member (C.I.M. and/or C.Mgr.) in-good-standing of the association.
- Candidates will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement after being elected.
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
- Directors are required to make a significant commitment of both time and expertise and assume the legal responsibilities under the Canada Not-For-Profit Act and applicable Canadian laws.
- Directors should anticipate a workload of two (2) to five (5) hours per week depending on the committee(s) assigned, the time of year, volunteering on CIM-related activities, advocating for the association and profession, reading and preparing reports, and participation in Board conference calls and committee meetings.

Candidates will be invited to a telephone/teleconference interview with the Nominations Committee after the close of nominations. Interviews will be scheduled with candidates between November 1 - 8, 2021. Candidates should make themselves available to participate in the interview process.
