Global MBA Program - Information Session for Members
Announcing an incredible new milestone in the history of the CIM! We are pleased to announce that we have entered into a collaborative agreement with the University of London in the United Kingdom to promote the online Global Master of Business Administration (Global MBA) degree to members and non-members in Canada. Both the CIM and the UoL have a long history of educating and transforming lives.
On August 1, 2018, MBA Director, Dimitrios Koufopoulous from the University of London, hosted an information session on the Global MBA program. He reviewed various aspects of the MBA including enrollment requirements, exemptions, and mandatory courses in addition to answering live questions from our CIM members.

CIM Chartered Managers Canada members will benefit from the most prestigious, flexible and affordable MBA degree available anywhere! The University of London Global Master of Business Administration program is available online to students in Canada. As a result of a new and exciting collaboration with CIM Chartered Managers Canada, Canadian students will also benefit by becoming CIM members upon admission to the program as well as be eligible to obtain the Chartered Manager (C.Mgr) designation upon completion of the program.
Both CIM Chartered Managers Canada and the University of London have a long history of educating and transforming lives. Founded in 1942 as a not-for-profit corporation CIM Chartered Managers Canada has provided education and professional certification to over 80,000 managers. The University of London, since 1836, has been one of the world's leading public universities with a current enrollment of over 200,000 students.
Management is a global profession and the Global MBA is the next step to unlock all the opportunities associated with this. Call for Nominations for the National Board of Directors
CIM Chartered Managers Canada is an organization driven by volunteers and supported by dedicated staff members that handle the day-to-day operations. As we approach the Annual General Meeting for 2018, the election of Corporate Directors to fill vacancies on the Institute Board of Directors will occur. Corporate Directors are not paid by the Institute.
There will be four (4) positions available. The term of these positions will be as follows:
- 1-1-year term;
- 1-2-year term; and
- 2-3-year terms.
Nomination forms are to be submitted before September 20, 2018. All nominees are required to provide an up to date résumé and the nomination form. The candidate must be a member in-good-standing of CIM Chartered Managers Canada; and must have a minimum of two (2) years management or leadership experience (with a preference given to candidates who have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience with a committee or board which can be external to CIM).
- Candidates will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
- Candidates shall hold an academic and/or professional credential from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.

WTF - Where To Focus: Navigating Current Challenges Impacting Leaders

The Canadian Institute of Management announces international reciprocity with the UK Chartered Management Institute (CMI)
The Canadian Institute of Management (“CIM Chartered Managers Canada”) is pleased to announce that it has reached an exciting new milestone in international reciprocity. Holders of the CIM Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) designation can now obtain the CMI Chartered Manager (CMgr) designation through reciprocity. Conversely, all CMI Chartered Managers can obtain the Canadian equivalent. In order to obtain these designations, applicants simply need to provide evidence of chartered status and join the respective institute, adhering to its local professional requirements and continuing professional development commitments.

CIM Chartered Managers Canada Launches New Designation and Brand
The Canadian Institute of Management is now operating under the CIM Chartered Managers Canada brand. It is part of a rebrand for the federally chartered not-for-profit, founded in 1942. The rebrand comes with a fresh new look and website. It corresponds with the official unveiling of the new Chartered Manager (C.Mgr.) designation representing registered members in all 10 provinces and 3 territories across Canada.
