President's Message

Dear CIM Members,

It is an honour to have been elected as your President by the Board of Directors after our recent Annual General Meeting in Calgary, Alberta.  Together with the board and our management team, we will continue the tremendous work completed over the last several years in raising the awareness of our association, and providing member value and professional recognition.

During my term as your President, I commit to working collaboratively with the membership and our chapters across Canada.  The CIM is an organization that has always been strengthened by our committed volunteers, providing countless hours of effort to provide value and service to our membership. And I would strongly suggest individual members to consider volunteering with their Local Chapter, or with the National Board.

We have recently prepared the 2020 – 2025 Strategic Plan that will be posted on our website shortly that commits to advancing the association through five strategic objectives:  providing a voice, increasing awareness, professional certification, academic accreditation and professional development.

This new strategic approach will allow for greater integration and engagement with members. CIM continues to listen and respond to the needs and recommendations of its various stakeholders. We remain committed and positioned to deliver competitive opportunities allowing for advancement in the management profession.

I want to especially thank our chapter leadership teams across Canada for their commitment to the association and, on behalf of the Board of Directors, look forward to a reinvigorated collaborative approach as we move forward with our strategic goals. Last, but certainly not least, I want to take this opportunity to thank our members for their continued support over the years.

The best is yet to come!
