NCMA Professionally Accredited Programs at Mohawk College
Through our Hamilton-Niagara Chapter, CIM | Chartered Managers Canada has partnered with Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario to offer programs that align with our Chartered Management Program. At Mohawk College, students can complete the Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Business. Completing this program will bring you closer to becoming eligible for our Certified in Management (C.I.M) professional designation.
Mohawk College was founded in 1967 (established in 1966) during the formation of Ontario’s college system. They were a part of the provincial initiative to provide career-oriented advanced diplomas, certificate courses, and continuing education programs. By the 1970s, Mohawk College had quickly become a leading college in engineering, applied arts and business, and health technology. Today, they offer more than 130 full-time programs, apprenticeship programs and more than 1000 continuing education courses. Mohawk College has a Graduation Employment Rate of 88.4%. Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Business
This three-year program offers a versatile pathway towards starting a career in management. Course work provides a mix of courses covering marketing, operations and business administration. Upon completion of the first semester, students will be able to transfer into the following specializations:
- Business - Accounting (Co-op Option)
- Business Administration – Accounting
- Business Administration – Human Resources
- Business Administration – Marketing
- Business – Financial Services
- Business – Marketing
- Insurance
Upon completion of the fourth semester, students will receive a two-year general business diploma. Upon completion of the sixth semester, students will receive their three-year business administration advanced diploma. From there, they will be eligible to take the Management Aptitude Evaluation (MAE) and receive their C.I.M. designation upon their success. Students may also use the course work of this program and apply it towards a bachelor’s degree in business at an eligible post-secondary institution.
