Chapter Overview
CIM | Chartered Managers Canada’s Hamilton-Niagara Chapter is one of the associations original three Chapters, with the merging of Hamilton and Niagara Chapters in 2019. The chapter has provided input and service to its members, the association and the community at large for decades. Hamilton-Niagara has hosted a number of National Conferences, most recently in 2010. The Hamilton-Niagara Board and membership would like to help you achieve your career goals. We do so through networking events, workshops and education partnerships to help with your professional development.
Hamilton-Niagara Chapter Education Partnerships
CIM | Chartered Managers Canada values education that empowers students to develop their skills and grow into confident and competent managers and business leaders. The Hamilton-Niagara Chapter in has specifically partnered with a number of post-secondary institutions in the Golden Horseshoe area to ensure that they offer programs that meet the requirements of the Chartered Manager Program (CMP) so students can become eligible for our management designations upon completing their program. If you are looking at post-secondary programs in the Hamilton-Niagara area to advance your career in management, consider these programs to help you obtain our C.I.M. and C.Mgr. designations.

Past Events at CIM | Chartered Managers Canada's Hamilton-Niagara Chapter
The Hamilton-Niagara Chapter of CIM | Chartered Managers Canada hosts various events year-round to bring chapter members together to network, develop their professional management skills, and discuss new developments in management and leadership. Some of the events that the chapter has recently hosted include:
Annual General Meeting
Members of the Hamilton-Niagara Chapter come together once a year for their local Annual General Meeting. Chapter members come to discuss their vision for the chapter, new developments in management and leadership, and the chapter committee begins to plan events and opportunities for the coming year. The last annual general meeting of the chapter was held in May 2021.
Online Euchre Night & Games Night
The Hamilton-Niagara Chapter held a series of games nights in March 2021. These fun social events brought our members together to play Euchre, encourage team building , compete in trivia and talk shop. It was a very laid-back way to bring our members together to network during the provincial lockdown.
Holiday Dinner Meeting
Every year, the chapter holds a dinner meeting and awards ceremony to recognize exemplary members and close out the year before the Christmas holiday. The event was not held last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last holiday dinner meeting was held at the Waterfront Banquet & Conference Centre in Hamilton. It featured Staff Sergeant Greg Doerr of the Hamilton Police Service as a guest speaker who delivered an enlightening speech on fraud prevention awareness. We look forward to more in-person dinner meetings in future.
