Thank you for your enquiry about submitting an article for possible inclusion in a future issue of the Canadian Manager magazine. Attached you will find our Writer’s Guidelines.

The Canadian Manager is the official quarterly publication of the Canadian Institute of Management, which was established in 1942.

There are 5,000 copies distributed to our members throughout Canada and abroad.

Recent issues have included articles on teambuilding; marketing; mergers & acquisitions; time management; performance appraisals; hiring & firing: financial planning; computing; small business management; meetings; public speaking; the Internet and much, much more.

It is read by middle and upper management including CEO’s, CFO’s, presidents, managing directors, vice presidents, and general managers.

Our corporate membership is very diverse and includes 3M Canada, Air Canada, Bell Canada, Bank of Montreal, Bombardier Aerospace, Canada Post Corp, Canadian Tire Corp., CPR, Dupont, Emco, Honda, and IBM.

WRITER'S GUIDELINES

The Canadian Institute of Management, publisher of the Canadian Manager magazine, is a non-profit organization. Therefore, no honorarium can be offered for articles. There is, however, exposure for the author and/or their company.

The author will receive three copies of the magazine on publication. Extra copies can be negotiated prior to press time.

Articles should be fairly short 700 to 1000 words - on a topic of current interest to our readers. The topic should relate to the management field and not be of a “commercial” nature.

Each article should be accompanied by a black and white photo of the author (which can be returned on request) and a brief bio. (Photo may be e-mailed to the CIM office in high resolution .jpeg or .tiff format.)

If articles are not used, and author wishes them to be returned, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
