CIM has been granting the Certified in Management (C.I.M.) designation
to students who have successfully met the completion of a challenging and
diversified educational program requirements through flexible delivery methods.
Graduates from the program earn the right to use the designation
"C.I.M." meaning "Certified in Management" after their
name. Currently, alumni can be found at all levels of the business community,
including company presidents. Enthusiastic responses from service, technical,
quality control, design engineering, industrial sales, marketing, financial,
and production planning organizations further confirm the high calibre of
CIM graduates.

Rich and Diversified Course Material
Students will be awarded a 'Certificate in Management and Administration'
upon completion of eight study courses (8 credits) as specified by the Institute,
with a minimum grade of 60% in each course. Candidates will be eligible
to apply for the C.I.M. (Certified in Management) designation once they
have acquired two (2) years of management/administration experience. In
order to be granted the designation, candidates will be required to submit
an application, along with two letters of reference and a current resume
within six (6) years of completing the prescribed studies.
If you intend to apply other credits as equivalents to some
of the 8 study courses, please download our Application for Education
Credit form, and mail as many completed copies as necessary along with your application.
Please Note: all Courses for the Certificate must be completed within seven
(7) years of commencement and any requests for equivalences must have been
taken within seven (7) years of application

Introduction to Management
- Develops a basic understanding of the principles of management with emphasis on the practical application of business theory and concepts
Managerial Communications
- focuses communication theory, written and verbal communications
skills
Canadian Business Law
- overview of Canadian Business Law and basic legal terminology
- emphasis on contract law and types and uses of contracts
Managerial Accounting
- focuses on the basic concepts and procedures of financial
accounting for both internal and external reporting
Managerial Finance
- understanding the financial function as it relates to
business objectives, capital management and capital budgeting in the short
and long term
Strategic Policy Analysis
- provides a general management perspective in decision-making
and the analysis of general management problems
